I don’t know what lazy summer days are, I don’t have those.
I have days where I’m up at dawn to visit a market or take a hike. I have afternoons filled with rock climbing, house work, playing with my nieces, walking the dog, or family events. As we head steadily into the days of mid-August with Autumn not far behind, I think that I wouldn’t really want it any other way. Who remembers the lazy days of their life?
I want to remember the running, the crush for time, the climbing into bed at the end of a long, hot day with the air conditioner rattling in the window and falling asleep so fast I don’t have time to think about it.
I don’t want lazy summer days. I want a summer so full it’s overflowing.
