Every day can be an adventure, but sometimes you just don’t take pictures.

Sometimes I struggle to have things to say if I don’t have a photo to back it up. Like this week, the only pictures I took the entire week were of a display of donuts so I could decide which to order while I ate my breakfast and a photo of my boss demonstrating prusik knots.

Sometimes I think “pics or it didn’t happen”

But that’s stupid, of course it happened. Just because I can’t now share the visual of a thing with my community and get those dopamine hits–I mean likes–doesn’t mean my life is less worthwhile. Or yours, for that matter.

Sometimes I think back on times I forgot to take pictures and I feel grateful to have just been in those moments. Helen Keller said that “life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”

Sometimes a week goes by and it feels like it’s nothing at all. I hope at these times you remember that your adventures and struggles and joys are uniquely your own. Just because you don’t think a moment of your life is instagram worthy, it doesn’t not make it unworthy. We are the sum of all of the things and in the end I know even the quiet weeks will be a part of the daring adventure of being alive.
