And Now I’m Sick

I have a cold or something. People have said “feel better” or “I’m sorry you’re sick” but mostly all I can think is that I had it coming.

Monday I had planned to go bouldering and to a yoga class but I had a migraine so I spent the evening laying on the couch with a hot pad wrapped around my head instead. I also was feeling a little stuffed up but I ignored it.

Tuesday I was feeling (almost) better so I went to kickboxing class.

Wednesday I wasn’t feeling worse so I went mountain biking.

Thursday I was hoping I could ignore it and it would go away so I went hiking along a creek.

Friday I figured I’d just wear a mask so I went rock climbing. And then for a 1 mile run. In the rain.

Saturday I picked berries, took a nap, and went to see fireworks and figured I’d feel better tomorrow.

Sunday I took a COVID test and it was negative and I felt better. So I went rock climbing on Monday.

And Tuesday I felt terrible. Go figure, right?

Someone probably needs to save me from myself.
