I am tired and I will blame daylight savings time and the fact that winter isn’t over yet.
I am tired but I still went out to find adventure because it was 73 degrees and sunny and I felt too alive to contain myself. I’m thankful to the friend who thought up the adventure because I was too tired to do so.
I am tired but I still took an extra shift at the rock climbing gym and tried to infect some new climbers with my rabid enthusiasm.
I am tired but I still stayed up too late drinking Redd’s Apple Ale in the garage with my partner and brother in law.
I am tired but I still went to the gym before my regular rock climbing shift and climbed for an hour until my arms were shaking. I’m thankful to my friend who stayed to belay me even though they had already been there for 2 hours.
I am tired but I still got up and ran on the treadmill.
I’m not saying these things to brag. I’m saying them to remind myself that even though I am tired, I can still do these things. Like Glennon Doyle said, we can do hard things. Even if sometimes those hard things are just the regular day things.
