Who’ll Stop the Rain

It’s rained a lot lately and I didn’t take any pictures of that. What I did do (and take pictures of) is this:

I worked on cleaning the rock wall sections I got months ago by driving to the Catskills in an ice storm and still haven’t installed. Good thing we risked our lives doing that.

I helped my husband trim the oak trees in our front yard. It’s unbelievable how much tree there is in one branch, they don’t look that big from the ground. I hope these old trees stay healthy and huge for many years to come.

I drove an hour to take my Mom out to lunch for mother’s day. I brought her a bunch of freshly blooming lilacs because she likes them. They remind us both of where I grew up in Rochester when spring meant the smell of the dwarf lilac bushes outside our front door filling the whole house. And then I drove an hour back home.
